DD's Ranch Magazine Lock holds magazine in exactly the same way as your firearms original magazine catch, but makes it non-removable. Once the firearm has a "fixed magazine" it is no longer classified as an assault weapon, no matter what features are on it, and therefore does not require registration. One installed, the hole must be filled with an Epoxy/JB weld or something similar (CANNOT BE SILICONE BASED). All parts are manufactured in the USA by DD's Ranch, LLC.
This magazine lock fits all Mil-Spec AR-15 type rifles/pistols as well as the AERO PRECISION M5 (308) pattern rifles/receivers

Look no further...
If you live in NYS, this will be the best $25 you can spend on any of your builds. I've lost track of how many I've purchased. Buy one while they are still in stock.

Well made
Just what I was looking for. Well Made. After it is installed, it still protrudes 0.200" from the frame as the original button did. I think I just assumed that it would appear flush with the surface. Essentially it looks like the original button except it is smooth instead of ridged and it's finish is a gloss finish instead of a matte finish like the gun. As for function, it works great.

Perfect fit
Excellent fit. Need to mount clip in before tightening. It’s not a exact match due to its shiny surface and not the flat parkerized look of the original. This is totally nict picking. I would recommend this to anyone.

Great product
This is the second Maglock I've used on an AR build and it works perfectly for NYS compliance. Very easy to install. I purchased a different Maglock recently from my local AR15 gun store and it was the wrong bolt hole size. Too small for the Mil-spec Mag release so I went with the tried and true Maglock from DD's Ranch as I should've from the beginning and save myself the time and money to get it done and done nicely. A little wax dripped in the Maglock hole after assembly then top it with JB weld and it looks flawless, the color matches very closely with my upper.
