The DD's Ranch Magazine Lock is a direct replacement for your firearm’s existing magazine catch, securely locking the magazine in place and preventing its removal. This modification reclassifies the firearm as having a "fixed magazine," which removes it from the legal definition of an assault weapon—regardless of any additional features—eliminating the need for registration under certain state laws.

 Key Features:

 -Made in the USA by DD's Ranch, LLC

 -Direct replacement for the standard AR-15 magazine release

 -Compatible with all Mil-Spec AR-15 rifles and pistols

 -Also fits AERO PRECISION M5 (.308) pattern rifles/receivers

 Once installed, the release button hole must be permanently filled using epoxy or JB Weld (silicone-based materials are not permitted)

    These little pieces of blued steel are the answer to the SAFE Act and Cuomo's stupidity. All of the bells and whistles that you must take off your AR-15 are made legal by installing these. Love them, hate that idiot in Albany.

    Seems to be the easiest way to be NY compliant....easy to install just need a little epoxy or jb weld to seal off the bolt hole

    Works like it's supposed to , only thing I didn't care for it the button side sticks out from the reciever, flush would be better but if it keeps things legal it's all good
